(Adelanto)–In order to address the multiple concerns expressed by residents, the City of Adelanto has announced it will dedicate a meeting on October 27th to a workshop explaining the recent surge in water prices.
“We want to give the community a chance to understand where we are coming from, a workshop where people can ask all of the questions they want is the best approach in our opinion,” Adelanto Mayor Charlie Glasper said.
Water conservation will be the dominating theme in this meeting, according to Deputy City Manager George Harris. The City has asked residents to reduce the excessive use of water, a factor driving up the prices due to the fact that costs for water increase once a residents use more than 15,000 gallon per month.
Glasper explained that water continues to be a precious and limited resource in the area and conservation should always be present in everyone’s mind. “Our goal is to serve our residents and do so in an affordable manner, but we have to eliminate the waste of water.
The October 27th workshop will begin at 7 p.m. at Adelanto City Hall, which is located at 11600 Air Expressway, Adelanto, CA 92301-1933. For more information please call (760) 246-2300.
