City of Victorville Economic Development

The Midtown Spectrum building is clear example of the economic progress being made in Victorville.

 (Victorville)– The City o

f Victorville continues to grow, recently beingnamed the fastest growing city in California and the 6th fastest growing city in the country by MSN.  Along with population growth, Victorville continues to expand with retail and commercial development.

New Dealership
One of the largest retail developments to take place in Victorville recently is a car dealership purchase by the Browning Auto Group.  The dealership is slated to be Valley-Hi Kia.  The Browning Auto Group has been established in Victorville for over a decade with Valley-Hi dealerships for Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Scion.  The new dealership with be located within Victorville’s Auto Park at Valley Center, in the heart of the civic center area just off the Roy Rogers exit on Interstate 15.

Air National Guard Hangar
Another major development in Victorville is the recent groundbreaking of the California Air National Guard’s new hangar at Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA).  The multi- million dollar facility is the first ever Air National Guard hangar to be built specifically for Remotely Piloted Aircrafts (RPA).   The California Air National Guard hasbeen operating out of a temporary facility at SCLA conducting launches and recovery operations on the MQ-1 Predator.  The Predator has been used extensively inAfghanistan and in other military actions overseas.  Once complete, the new hangar will provide a custom space for the Predator and other RPAs.

Veteran’s Center
The Midtown Spectrum’s 57,200 square foot mixed use retail center welcomed a new Veteran’s Center in June 2010.  The Veteran’s Center includes 4,000 square feet of space, offering assistance to Veterans throughout the Victor Valley and High Desert region.

For this and many other reasons, Victorville will continue to be considered the center of activity, we expect to keep on attracting many companies and well-paying jobs to the area for the positive benefit of the residents of the Victor Valley.
