(Victor Valley)–The Association and the San Bernardino County Fire Department have begun to prepare for the potential of significant rain and flood conditions. Two thousand sandbags and truck loads of sand have been delivered to the Community Building (12975 Rolling Ridge Dr.) today, Monday, December 20, 2010 for resident usage to prepare your homes for the potential floods. The forecast indicates that significant rain (2-4 inches) is possible, between today and Wednesday night.
The Fire Department in the City of Victorville has responded to our request to sandbag the developments west side of Ridgecrest Road in an attempt to lessen the runoff that would impact our community.
Our fire station #22 will have extra staffing and supplies and we will maintain communication with Fire Chief’s Carleton and Sipe in order to manage our mutual response in the event of flood conditions.
