(Victorville)–As the population of the Victor Valley continues to grow, the demand for physicians is also increasing. With progress in mind, local healthcare provider Choice Medical Group conducted a Grand Opening ceremony for their new Sun View Plaza building which will be used to house a conference center and health and wellness center for the community.
The state-of-the-art building was also designed to serve the residents of east Victorville and it is serviced by four primary care physicians who will try to keep up with the demand for more qualified doctors in the Victor Valley. “We have found that the demand for more physicians is something we need to satisfy in the Victor Valley,” Choice Medical Group Marketing Manager Dianna Pasillas said Wednesday.
Victorville Mayor Pro Tem Rudy Cabriales considered the opening of the Sun View Plaza offices and wellness center a benefit for the economy and the residents of Victorville. “This means that organizations like Choice are creating jobs that will help local families. All this while providing medical care, that in my book is a very positive impact,” Cabriales told High Desert Daily.
Pasillas explained that in the past five years, Choice has doubled their administrative workforce from 40 to about 80 employees. “We have a growing population and we also have a higher number of senior citizens living in the area. That creates jobs,” Pasillas said.
According to Pasillas, the conference and wellness center will house many educational sessions and will also be available for the community. “This building will hold training for the medical staff and that will benefit the entire community, we strive to keep the patient out of the doctor’s office and that’s a win-win situation,” Pasillas concluded.
