Low-interest federal disaster loans are being offered to homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes and private, non-profit organizations whose property was damaged or destroyed by the disaster. Interest rates can be as low as 2.25 percent for homeowners and renters, 3 percent for private, non-profit organizations and 4 percent for businesses, with terms up to 30 years. Loan amounts and terms are set by SBA and are based upon each applicant’s financial condition. Beginning Tuesday, February 8, customer service representatives will be on hand at the SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Center at the High Desert Government Center in Hesperia. Representatives will be issuing loan applications, answering questions about SBA’s disaster loan program, explaining the application process, and helping individuals complete their application.
The Hesperia Center will be open Feb 8 – 11 and reopens Feb. 22 until further notice. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The Disaster Loan Outreach Center/High Desert Government Center is located at 15900 Smoke Tree St. in Hesperia. No appointment is necessary.
