(Apple Valley)On Saturday, March 5, educators from the San Bernardino County Museum will hold an “Educators Resource Fair,” at the Victor Valley Museum in Apple Valley from 10am to noon. This program is free to all educators.
“The Victor Valley Museum will open later this month, but teachers can have a preview of the exhibits and our school programs,” said Curator of Education Jolene Redvale. “We have a variety of programs available to all educators, and suitable for all ages. Private school teachers and home schools are especially encouraged to attend.”
Participants will be able to preview the new exhibits, receive copies of curriculum – related activities, and experience the San Bernardino County Museum’s outreach programs, including the award-winning “Museum on the Road,” and materials available for loan to schools.
“We know that school budgets are thin. So that’s why we have programs that will come to the school, helping teachers make the best use of the limited funds,” said Redvale.
For more information of this event, call Jolene Redvale at (909) 307-2669 ext. 252. Part of the San Bernardino County Museum system, the Victor Valley Museum is at 11873 Apple Valley Road in Apple Valley. The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities. I am a local author of children’s books.
You can check out the books at my new website: http://willowvistabooks.squarespace.com/
The new website is under construction. The buy button has not been added yet. The JUNK FOOD MUMMY book is a perfect tool for teachers to use in conjunction with their school nutrition programs. I would be happy to come to your Resource Fair on Saturday and present my books if you want me to.
