National Volunteer Week Projects Benefit The Local Community

By Staff Reports

(Victor Valley)– Volunteers came out in droves last week in celebration of National Volunteer Week. HandsOn Inland Empire, the volunteer initiative of Inland Empire United Way, along with its community partners, hosted 13 different volunteer activities throughout the Inland Empire. Whether it was improving a school or home for foster youth, reading to disadvantaged children, or preparing food for low-income families- hundreds of volunteers made a very positive impact on the Inland Empire!

Thank you to Second District County Supervisor Janice Rutherford for her support promoting the week and to all of our volunteers including those from Home Depot, Kohl’s, and Scripps College who helped make this year’s National Volunteer Week a success!
