(Apple Valley)– St. Mary Medical Center is pleased to welcome ethicist and author Dr. Dolores Christie to the High Desert to discuss the importance of “Perfect Care at the Bedside of the Dying.”
Dr. Christie will lead a discussion on her recent book “Last Rights: A Catholic Perspective on End-of-Life Decisions” from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7 at Our Lady of the Desert Parish Center, 18386 Corwin Road in Apple Valley. Dr. Christie is also the executive director of the Catholic Theological Society of America with national offices at John Carroll University. An experienced clinical ethicist, she serves on the ethics committees of a tertiary care hospital, a long-term care facility, and on the Ohio Solid Organ Transplant Consortium ethics and patient selection committees. She is the author of “Adequately Considered: An American Approach to Louis Janssens’ Personalist Morals” as well as several book chapters and articles and many reviews.
This discussion will be beneficial to healthcare professionals, religious leaders as well as anyone facing end-of- life decisions for a loved one.
