(Victor Valley)– On June 28, 2011 the Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution establishing new service hours at some San Bernardino County Library branches.
In order to maintain a high level of service to the various communities the San Bernardino County Library serves while addressing declining revenues, some library branches will have reduced hours and be closed on Fridays. Even in these trying budget times, the total reduction of service hours is less than 10 percent, which will continue a high level of service to the communities. Complete closures of County branch libraries were never considered in the County Library’s plan to adjust service to meet current resources. The changes in service hours for the County Library branches will go into effect July 30, 2011.
Listed on the attached version of this news release are the hours of service for all branches, with changes that will go into effect July 30 marked in bold.
