Victorville Library Holds Harry Potter Event This Wednesday

(Victorville)– One of the biggest movies of the year hits theaters this Friday: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2. This ends the journey of the young wizard that moviegoers and fans of the series of novels have been clamoring for. Now, children and young adults can celebrate in true Hogwart’s style this Wednesday at the Victorville City Library.

The event is being planned by Hope Ervin, Library Aide at the Victorville City Library, as a way to have kids of all ages get a hands on experience of the world of Potter. The event will consist of various mini classes as well as a costume contest. “In charms class they will make wands, in defense against the dark arts they will make a patronus out of clay, and in potions they will complete a science experiment” said Ervin about the activities planned.

The doors open at 8:30 pm July 13th, and the event runs till 11:30 pm. Admission is free, but a free ticket it required for admission. Tickets are available at the Victorville City Library. Space is limited, so make sure to sign up today!
