VVC To Honor 9/11 Victims

(Victor Valley)–To honor 9/11 victims and first responders who lost their lives on that fateful day, Victor Valley College along with fire, law enforcement, emergency rescue service representatives, military, and private citizens are hosting a “United We Stand” memorial event and Public Awareness Fair to commemorate the tenth anniversary of that horrifying day on Sunday, September 11, 2011.

The event will be hosted by the Associated Student Body and will take place at the Student Activities Center on the upper campus. .    The ceremony will begin at the student designed and erected campus 9/11 memorial at 7:00 a.m. with uniformed students from the college reading a list of the names of those who lost their lives during that day of sorrow.

A remembrance program will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will feature readings, music, and memorial messages from community leaders.  Following the program, a public safety fair and Blood Drive will be held.

The public is invited to come and share the morning with our student leaders in honoring these fallen heroes.
