High Desert Daily
(Victor Valley)- This morning High Desert Daily reached a massive milestone not only for the website, but for the entire High Desert community. Today, one million unique visitors have visited the website since its inception in October of 2010, according to Google Analytics.
High Desert Daily features an all-positive news format dedicated to business and community news in the entire High Desert. From local events, movie reviews, breaking news, business profiles, thoughts and smiles of the day and more; High Desert Daily has always aimed and maintained that the positive in the desert outweighs the negative. The website is now averaging about 105,000 unique monthly visitors according to Google Analytics, showing massive growth since the months following its inception.
The intent of highdesertdaily.com is to inform and give locals a platform to express their opinions or concerns about news, or circumstances, that affect our community today, all in a positive manner dedicated exclusively to our High Desert.
“We are extremely thankful to God and all of our readers,” High Desert Daily Publisher and Editor Miguel Gonzalez said. “This proves that there is a very hungry and demanding market for positive local news. None of this would have been possible without the support from our readers, advertisers and our wonderful staff who everyday works hard to spread smiles and good thoughts in our amazing High Desert,” Gonzalez added.
Many officials in the desert, like Victorville City Councilman Mike Rothschild, are continuously noticing the impact High Desert Daily has had on the community.
“I think it focuses a lot on positive local news, and that’s something we need a dose of everyday. I think it should be in the schools, and visited by the students on a daily basis,” Rothschild commented.
Hesperia Mayor Mike Leonard said he was not surprised to hear about the milestone. “It tells you that people in the area are ready for more positive news. It also speaks very well about our High Desert and it shows those that do not live here and might have a stigma about our area that we are a society full of people who want to do better. My congratulations go out to High Desert Daily.”
Without the readers of High Desert Daily, this wonderful milestone would not be possible. We, the staff of High Desert Daily, would like to thank all of you for your support of local, positive news. We will continue to provide the best coverage possible, and hopefully we will reach another positive milestone soon.
Gonzalez said the success of High Desert Daily has also opened new business opportunities for his publishing division as two similar sites will be launched in Southern California and Hawaii in the next month. “This new approach is gaining wild popularity and we are honored to bring it to these communities,” Gonzalez explained it.
