(Hesperia) – Two long awaited traffic projects begin construction this morning in Hesperia: the Ranchero Road Underpass and the signal at Rock Springs and Arrowhead Lake Roads.
In preparation for the new traffic signal at Rock Springs and Arrowhead Lake Road, the City of Hesperia will be installing a new water main across the intersection. Beginning this morning at 8:00 through Friday September 9th, Rock Springs Road will be closed from Arrowhead Lake Road to Sheffield Street. Please note that vehicles will not be allowed through during this project.
As a part of the Ranchero Road Underpass construction, beginning today, Ranchero Road will be closed between Danbury Avenue and Alston Avenue. Detours will be in place using Danbury, “E” and Alston Avenues. Construction on the underpass is estimated to take 24 months, and drivers are encouraged to avoid this area whenever possible.
Motorists are reminded, for their own safety and the safety of construction workers, to obey all posted construction signs and never drive around barricades.
