(Victor Valley)–If all goes well–as it seems to be thus far–the Oro Grande WashRecharge Project will finish as planned in February 2012. The Oro Grande Wash Recharge Project is a full scale groundwater recharge facility located south of the intersection of Sycamore Street and Amethyst Street in the City of Victorville. The 10-acre project will take 8,000 acre-feet annually of imported State Water Project water and recharge the Alto Subarea.
The $2,309,000 contract for the pipeline portion (Phase B) is 100%complete, while the $2,092,000 contract for the turnout portion (Phase A) is on track to finish in November. Of the remaining two phases, C-1 will be completed in February and C-2 should break ground by December 2011.
