Party At The Rains House

(Victor Valley)–An afternoon of party ideas and fun at the historic John Rains House in Rancho Cucamonga is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Guests will discover how this historic site can be the perfect location for their next big event, from a wedding or quinceañera to a family reunion or a corporate picnic. The Rains House, built in 1860, features covered porches, a small vineyard, and a large shady lawn area. Party guests can tour the picturesque historic home and grounds and enjoy music and refreshments. The event, open to the public and hosted by San Bernardino County Museum Curator of History Michele Nielsen and the San Bernardino County Museum Association, is free. Area event planners, party rental companies, bakeries, caterers, and florists will show off party-themed tablescapes under a canopy of pepper trees. A silent auction and door prizes will round out the afternoon.
