(Victorville) – When United Furniture Industries (UFI) announced their move to Southern California Logistics Center they also announced that they would be hiring up to 100 people right away, and a total of 400 people within three years.  The first phase of recruitment begins today at the job fair in Victorville.

In addition to UFI, several companies are planning to attend the fair, according to Oren Brown, Development Director of Diversity Solutions who is hosting the event. Included in the lineup are Southwest Gas, AVR Water, the California Highway Patrol, La Verne College, St. Mary Medical Center, and many others

“This is an opportunity to bring job seekers and companies together,” said Brown. “It is a chance for people looking for employment to network and form relationships with the people in charge of hiring at those companies.”

Brown says to dress for success and bring resumes, business cards, pen and paper.

The fair starts today at 11:00 am at Victorville City Hall, training rooms 1 and 2.
