(Victor Valley)–Desert Valley Hospital Radiology Tech, Elise Allemand, was recognized as the San Bernardino County Hospital Hero Recipient at the 6th Annual Hospital Hero Award Luncheon held recently at the Downtown Los Angeles Marriott. The Hospital Hero Awards are sponsored by the National Health Foundation which is a subsidiary of The Hospital Association of Southern California. Recipients are chosen based on their extraordinary contribution to their hospital and the community-at-large.
Elise was the hero in an accident that occurred on a stormy morning in the Cajon Pass earlier this year where she was called upon to rescue a fellow employee from an overturned vehicle. Although Elise was excited to be recognized as the Desert Valley Hospital recipient, she was also thrilled to be the winner representing the San Bernardino County region.
Elise was nominated by her fellow workers at the hospital as a quiet hero who walks the halls and exemplifies the hospital’s mission, vision and values on a daily basis. She is the second Desert Valley Hospital employee to win this distinguished award in the past three years.
