(Victorville)– A timeless classic Christmas tale takes to the stage at the High Desert Center for the Arts for one more night.  Presented by Creative Arts Theater, this tale takes the classic story and adds a bit more to it.

The music and lyrics were written by local talent Roger Glisson The script was adapted by Cherie Glisson, and the show was directed by Tim Glisson.  It is a must see!  Funny and moving, with a good message and strong acting, plus excellent vocals that will leave you in the Christmas spirit.

Stand out performances include Tim Ekstrand as Scrooge – amazingly well done, he was smooth, comfortable in his character, and he held the audience’s attention in every scene he was in.

The spirits of Christmas Past and Present were also well played by Kendal Messenger and Chloe Madison.

The vocal effects with Messenger’s Ghost of Christmas Past added to the mystique of the character.  And the comedy stylings of Madison as the Ghost of Christmas Present made her fun to watch.

Seth Barklow as Tiny Tim had everyone falling in love with him.  I won’t give too much away, but he was certainly one of the highlights of the show.

The set was minimal, but the stage presence of the characters more than make up for that. The costumes were perfect for “old England”.

This musical is full of everything that you go to the theater for, and you will leave humming the Christmas carols and feeling that warm Christmas spirit.

A Christmas Carol the Musical runs through Friday. Show starts at 7pm.  Call 760-963-3236 for tickets.
