(Victorville) – Victorville City Councilman and Congressional candidate Ryan McEachron landed a heavy hit in his fight to become the area’s next Congressman. Assemblyman Steve Knight, a popular political figure throughout the 8th Congressional District has thrown his support behind McEachron.
“Washington needs a voice of leadership who understands the issues facing our area. Ryan will be that voice,” stated the Assemblyman.
Knight’s endorsement, along with his track record of being a conservative voice in the community, will be boost in a competitive race for a rare open congressional seat.
“Steve has been a principled leader in the State Assembly,” said McEachron. “I am both honored and humbled to have his endorsement and looking forward to serving the people of District 8 in Congress.
McEachron is President and Chief Executive Officer of ISU Insurance Services – ARMAC Agency in Victorville, a full service insurance agency that employs a dozen people in the City.
“Jobs and the economy must be the priority of Congress,” explained Knight. “Ryan is an employer and businessman who understands what it will take to get people back to work and our economy back on track. We need him in Washington.”
McEachron was named 2011 City Public Official of the Year, by Publicceo.com for his role in advancing the long-awaited Interstate 15 interchange and economic development at Southern California Logistics Airport, according to a statement from the Sacramento based local government news website.
Ryan graduated from Apple Valley High School and received his Communications degree from Arizona State University. He and his wife, Jennifer, live in Victorville with their two children.
