(Hesperia)–Most of us in the High Desert feel so far away from the rest of Southern California. Whether it be from Ontario or Los Angeles, the drive is never fun and not exactly something we look forward to. There is an answer to this dilemma: High Desert Shuttle.
Owners Tommy Coe and Brandon Johnson created High Desert Shuttle to provide affordable, convenient and reliable transportation for High Desert residents. Whether it is being picked up from Ontario Airport or LAX, or maybe needing to get from Adelanto to Apple Valley, High Desert Shuttle can assist you.
“We talk to our passengers, we help with their bags, we try to make it as convenient as possible.” Johnson explained that residents are picked up right from their front door. The two owners both know the importance of reliable transportation, as both have a military background. It is the experiences they have been through and witnessed that led them to create a service like this in the community.
Coe explained the origins of the company, “Basically, I have been stranded at the Ontario Airport many times, because people don’t want to drive the 45 minutes to come pick you up. Being military, I have gone on deployments for numerous amounts of time. I felt this was a needed service. “
Coe also spoke of the dilemma of a fellow soldier he saw stranded while at the USO, and how it really made him realize that High Desert Shuttle was needed.
“When I had stopped at the USO one time, there was a soldier that was actually stranded. Fort Irwin told him he had to stay the night, take a cab to the Greyhound station, take the Greyhound to Barstow and from there they would pick him up in the morning. After I saw that, I knew this was a service the High Desert greatly needed.”
The prices offered are extremely affordable, especially now during the off-season. If volume supports it, High Desert Shuttle offers the bargain price of $30 to Ontario, and $50 to LAX. Yet, the shuttle can take you or pick you up from various locations and places, not just airports. Of course, pricing for a special trip does vary, but customers will still receive a reasonable rate and a reliable ride. If customer demand supports it, the shuttle service hopes to expand service to Las Vegas in the future.
