(Victorville) – Victorville Mayor and candidate for Congress, Ryan McEachron announced the endorsement of House Armed Services Committee Chairman and local Congressman Buck McKeon today.
“Ryan McEachron will bring a new voice of leadership to Washington” stated McKeon. “Ryan’s record of cutting waste, balancing the City’s budget and his experience in the private sector are what we need in the Washington.”
McEachron is running in the newly created 8th District that includes a large portion of McKeon’s current district, including the counties of San Bernardino, Inyo and Mono.
“Congressman McKeon currently represents about 30% of newly created District 8” explained redistricting expert Chandra Sharma of Meridian Pacific. “McKeon has represented this area for years and the endorsement of such a popular and well respected Congressman may be the most important endorsement in the race.”
“Buck McKeon has been a great representative for our area and our Nation’s soldiers” McEachron said. “I am honored to have Congressman McKeon’s support. Congressman McKeon has been a long time advocate of smaller government, less taxes and a strong national defense and I look forward to joining him in this fight.”
McEachron was named 2011 City Public Official of the Year, by Publicceo.com for his role in advancing the long-awaited Interstate 15 interchange and economic development at Southern California Logistics Airport, according to a statement from the Sacramento based local government news website.
McEachron graduated from Victorville’s Apple Valley High School and received his Communications degree from Arizona State University. He and his wife, Jennifer, live in Victorville with their two children.
The is no better person running for congress to repersent this area in congress than mayor Ryan McEachron.
