(VICTORVILLE)–The City of Victorville is providing pre-qualification services to first-time
homebuyers on Saturday, March 17th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pre-qualification services will
be held at Victorville City Hall, Conference Room D, and attendees are welcome anytime
between the hours noted above.
Lenders, realtors and homebuyer education providers will be
available at the event, providing services on getting attendees pre-qualified for a home, as well
as providing information on future workshops and homes currently available for purchase.
Additionally, information on homes purchased and rehabbed by the City of Victorville through
the Neighborhood Stabilization Program will be available for potential buyers.
A first-time homebuyer is officially defined as a homebuyer who has not had an ownership
interest in a home within the last three years. In order to qualify for a home loan, a purchaser
must be a first-time homebuyer, with no bankruptcy or foreclosure within the last three years.
The home must be the primary residence for the potential homeowner and be within the
Victorville city limits to qualify.
Attendees will need to bring a driver’s license or identification card, social security number, their
last three paystubs, the last three months of bank statements, and the last three years of tax
returns. A credit report is also suggested, but not required.
