(Victorville)–Long-time San Bernardino County Sheriff Gary Penrod today announced his endorsement of Bob Smith for First District County Supervisor.
“Bob Smith is someone I am proud to endorse because he understands what it takes to keep this county safe, he has absolute integrity and he is a true public servant,” said Penrod. “I have only offered my endorsement to a couple of people during my career because it’s not something I take lightly. But when I saw Bob was running for County Supervisor, there was no question in my mind that he was the best man for the job.”
Bob has also recently received endorsements from Senators Tony Strickland, Bob Dutton, and Sharon Runner, as well as Board of Equalization Member and former Senator George Runner, and Assemblywoman Connie Conway.
Bob Smith is a retired Sheriff’s Detective and served for 28 years with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Bob currently serves as a LAFCo Commissioner, volunteer Fire Chief and has 30 years with the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary as a pilot/Legislative Commander.
“Sheriff Penrod is someone who has dedicated his life to serving the citizens of San Bernardino County and is someone I have long viewed as a mentor,” said Bob Smith. “I am honored to have the endorsement of such a distinguished public servant.”
