(Victorville)–This is another quality production for one weekend only at the High Desert Center of the Arts.
I had no idea what to expect when the show started. And WOW – this show blew me away. I don’t know how they made a show about writing a show so entertaining, but they did.
The show was originally written by Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell
These guys rocked it! Adriana – what a powerhouse of a singer. She amazed on all of her parts.
Amiel – now SHE was funny. Her part as the “fag hag” was played to a “T”. She brought comedy and realness to her role.
She had one of the funniest parts in the show – but I won’t give that away. And her performance on the song “Vampires” is one not to be missed.
Robert is such a natural on stage, it doesn’t seem to matter what role he plays. He is funny and tender, and his stellar singing abilities are on full display.
John Paul – well, what can I say?
The set is minimal, the costumes are the same even though time changes, the cast is small but powerful.
There are several surprises through-out the show. I don’t think this production is like anything you’ve ever seen. It is edgy, it is really funny, it is very tongue-in-cheek, and it is probably one of the best shows you will see this year.
