(Victorville )– The Olympic Games start July 27th in London, England and Olympic fever is starting to build.  The games encompass many fields of sports, some very famous, others not as highly publicized.

One of those sports you may not hear as much about is table tennis.  This highly competitive sport has been played in the Summer Olympic Games since 1988 with singles and doubles games for both men and women.

How does this tie in with the Mall of Victor Valley?  They are giving away a trip for two to the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games and this weekend is your last chance to enter.  To bring awareness to the event they are hosting a Go for the Gold exhibition tournament of the High Desert Table Tennis club in the Sear’s court from 1:00-3:00pm today.

“It’s should be a fun event,” said Vito Bello, Marketing Manager for The Mall of Victor Valley. “It’s a chance to get the sweepstakes out there a little bit more, and a chance for this group from the Westwinds Sports Center to come out and get some community exposure.”

“We also reached out to Adam Bobrow, a gentleman that the High Desert Table Tennis club let me know about. He is an exhibition player, he does some trick shots, is really animated and a big proponent of the sport,” Bello continued. “So he is going to host a two hour exhibition tournament and show off some of his stuff.”

While you are at the Go for the Gold event, you can register to win that trip to the Olympics.  The Mall of Victor Valley, in conjunction with Coca Cola, is giving away a trip for two to London to see the 2012 Summer Olympics. That includes airfare, hotel accommodations and tickets to select events. Stop by the enter-to-win podium and fill out the entry form. Or enter for a chance to win online at www.mallsweepstakes.com

The contest runs through May 13. The winner will be selected by May 31.
