Nighttime Closures Continue as Construction Work Progress on La Mesa/Nisqualli Interchange

By Staff Reports

(Victorville) – Progress continues on the La Mesa / Nisqualli Interchange Project as crews are working in the median for the center column that will support the future bridge over Interstate 15. Nighttime closures of the two inside lanes in both directions are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday nights May 8th and 9th.

The closures will start at 10:00pm for the two left (inside) lanes on the northbound 15 between Bear Valley Road and Palmdale Road, and they will remain closed until 5:00am. The southbound inside lanes will be closed from 10:00pm until 4:00am both nights.

These nighttime closures are critical for the safety of both the motorists and crew members as the project team conducts excavation and shoring activities. In addition, materials are trucked in at night for daytime pile driving activities.

No detour is required as one lane will remain open at all times. Motorists are encouraged to slow down in construction zones and seek alternative times of travel when possible.

SANBAG, City of Victorville, and the contractors are appreciative of motorists’ patience during this important transportation improvement project.
