(Victorville) – Progress continues on the La Mesa / Nisqualli Interchange Project as crews are working in the median for the center column that will support the future bridge over Interstate 15.
This week’s nighttime I-15 closures of the two inside lanes in both directions are scheduled for Wednesday, May 16th between 10:00 pm and 5:00 am.
No detour is required as one lane will remain open at all times. Motorists are encouraged to slow down in construction zones and seek alternative times of travel when possible.
Another on-going major freeway project that may affect your drive is on the 215 through San Bernardino. If you are traveling down the hill in the evenings this week, the following closure may affect you, so plan accordingly.
Wednesday, May 16 – 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. and Thursday, May 17 – 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
All lanes of the SB I-215 will be CLOSED at SR-210.
Thursday only – All lanes of the NB I-215 will also be CLOSED at Baseline Street.
During these nighttime full freeway closures crews will demolish the old southbound SR-259 connector bridge, which closed after traffic was shifted to the temporary connector bridge following the 215BIGSHIFT.
One more to put on your calendar: this Friday, May 18th the AMGEN Tour of California bicycle race will roll through the Victor Valley. The CHP will be doing traffic control on Hwy 2, Hwy 138, and Hwy 18 from Palmdale to Big Bear between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Use alternate routes to avoid delays.
