(Victorville) – You may have noticed all of the construction work going on at The Mall of Victor Valley lately. Major retailer jcpenney is expanding and moving into the location that was Forever 21, and Macy’s will be opening in 2013. To prepare for these big events the Mall today announced new plans to completely remodel all four major entrances.
All four entrances will be redesigned using sleek glass storefronts and travertine stone. The project also includes new walkways, complete with new landscaping and additional seating.
“The remodel of our four entrances will enhance our shopper’s experience at The Mall of Victor Valley,” said Liz Hewson, Property Manager, The Mall of Victor Valley. “The new entrances will be modern and inviting – a perfect welcome to the expanded jcpenney when it opens later this year and as we get set to welcome Macy’s in 2013.”
Construction started May 14th on the freeway facing entrance located nearest Sears on the south end of the shopping center. For an estimated six weeks, while the entrance will be accessible during construction, shoppers are encouraged to park in lots 4 and 5 to avoid the construction site. The Mall of Victor Valley retailers will remain open during the construction. The final entrance will be completed in late September, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
The new enhancements are designed to complement the existing anchors at the 544,000+ square foot shopping center, with a retail mix that includes Bath and Body Works, Vans, The Children’s Place, Victoria’s Secret, as well as Barnes and Noble.
