(Victor Valley) – It feels like summer, it looks like summer, some kids are already out of school, and Memorial Day Weekend, the unofficial kick-off for summer, is coming up next weekend.
However, according to Jamie Moker, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in San Diego, a cool down is coming. “On Wednesday a trough moves across the area cooling temperatures down to the 80s. On Thursday, some places in the Victor Valley will not see temps get out of the 70s. Temperatures will be in the 70s Friday through the weekend.”
Moker said this trough of low pressure will have much cooler air and stronger winds associated with it. We won’t see any clouds, though. Skies will be mainly sunny.
Gusty southwest to west winds will kick up Tuesday afternoon and evening, possibly gusting to 30 mph. The winds should remain through at least Friday.
For the remainder of the Memorial Day weekend, NWS says models are forecasting that the trough of low pressure will move off to the east for Sunday and Monday, which means warmer and drier conditions will develop to finish out the holiday weekend.
