(Apple Valley) – Smoke rose over the Bowen Ranch area garnering everyone’s attention and worries that it could grow into something big.
Around 1:45 Sunday afternoon fire crews were called to the brush fire. Crews from Cal Fire, the forest service and San Bernardino County responded to the scene. Water dropping helicopters and air tankers were also called on to attack the fire from the air.
The last report on the fire was that it was at 20 acres with 50% containment by 6:30pm. There were no structures threatened and no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
