(Victor Valley)–Victor Valley Community Hospital congratulates Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Pavelle Martinez on her graduation from the MLT program in April. Pavelle enrolled in the program in 2009 while still working as a Laboratory Assistant II in the Laboratory Department at VVCH. Pavelle received training in the MLT program to include chemistry, clinical hematology, coagulation and urinalysis, clinical microbiology and clinical immunology. The extensive training and program requirements place Pavelle in a higher functionality in the clinical laboratory team. “I am so proud to have graduated from such an elite program and thrilled that I can immediately apply my education in the Laboratory. My team members and I are focused on patient care and supporting the doctors in any way we can.” –Pavelle Martinez
Pavelle is the only High Desert graduate from the program. Pavelle remains an integral part of the Laboratory assisting the CLS (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) with releasing faster results, and improving turnaround time, resulting in physician satisfaction and enhanced patient care. Jimmy Chov, Lab Assistant II, is currently attending the MLT program and is expected to graduate in 2013 with two additional employees awaiting acceptance into the MLT program.
