(Victor Valley) – Do you love to camp, hike, fish or ride your bike? Post your photos and you could win a new camera! This is a really easy way to have some summer fun and get something for it.

The San Bernardino County Parks is ramping up its social media presence by encouraging park visitors to post photos to their Facebook page of their adventures in one of eight participating regional parks, including Mojave Narrows Regional Park and Mojave River Forks Regional Park. They are giving away several prizes, including a GoPro high definition camera.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out this GoPro camera, you have probably seen footage of it on TV and in movies. It is small, versatile, wearable, and gear-mountable and captures both still images and video in high definition.  You may have seen them on the helmets of motorcycle or bicycle riders, among other places.

The second- and third-place winners will receive two Annual Park Passes, along with a $50 or $25 gift certificate to Bass Pro Shops. The passes are good for one year’s free admission to participating San Bernardino County regional parks, including free parking, with the exception of holidays and special events.

“People love to come to San Bernardino County parks to pursue their favorite outdoor activities year-round. We want to see park visitors in action, and share their images with the world via Facebook,” said San Bernardino County Regional Parks’ Director, Keith Lee.

The contest runs until June 30, 2012. To enter, visit San Bernardino County Parks’ Facebook page at and click the “Win a GoPro” tab. One photo is allowed per participant, and the photo with the most votes by the end of the contest period will win the first prize, the GoPro camera.

Winners will be contacted by email on July 1 and their photos will be displayed on the San Bernardino County Regional Parks Facebook page. Official contest rules can be found on the parks’ Facebook page.
