(Victorville) – The need for donated blood always goes up around holidays, especially those in which people tend to drive to their destinations. Experts say more cars on the road means a higher tendency for accidents, therefore the need for blood rises.
LifeStream is urging local residents to make a lifesaving blood donation this week, and honor the spirit and sacrifice of Independence Day.
In addition to the satisfaction of helping save lives, whole-blood donors at all LifeStream donor centers and community drives through Friday, July 6, receive two free movie tickets, while supplies last.
The LifeStream donation center in Victorville is located at 12520 Business Center Drive “G”. Hours for donations are 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Independence Day, Wednesday, July 4; 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 2 and Friday, July 6; and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 5.
