(Victor Valley)- – Today is the day to vote! High Desert Center is one of five finalists in the running to win a new car. Go to www.100carsforgood.com to cast your vote.
High Desert Center was selected as one of 500 nonprofit finalists in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program, in which Toyota is giving 100 cars to 100 nonprofits over the course of 100 days. High Desert Center was selected as a finalist from more than 4,000 applications nationwide.
Individual members of the public will be able to vote for which ever nonprofit they think can do the most good with a new vehicle. The nonprofit with the most votes at the end of each day will win one of six Toyota models. Runners-up will each receive a $1,000 cash grant from Toyota.
High Desert Center said in a press release that they would use the new Toyota vehicle to help families in recovery learn life management skills and to transport women and children to medical and ancillary appointments in the high desert area. It would also be used to transport staff to training and meetings in San Bernardino County.
“Everyone at High Desert Center is thrilled to have been selected as a finalist for the 100 Cars for Good program,” said Cindi Burklow, Executive Director of High Desert Center. “We hope everyone will make time to visit www.100carsforgood.com today to vote for us. A six-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty will also be provided for each vehicle, compliments of Toyota Financial Services.
