(Hesperia) – Walmart is hiring for the new store slated to open in early September. The retailer has opened a temporary hiring center at 16876 Main St., Suite E, in Hesperia to take applications.
According to store manager John Shy, the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates. “We are excited to add this Walmart to Hesperia and bring good jobs with career opportunities to the area,” he said. Shy has been with Walmart a total of 12 years.
Shy said associates are needed to work in all areas of the new store, including supervisory positions.
Walmart’s benefit program is available to eligible full- and part-time associates and provides a variety of affordable health and well-being benefits including medical insurance with no lifetime maximum. Walmart also offers matching 401(k) contributions of up to 6 percent of pay, discounts on general merchandise for store associates, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and company-paid life insurance. Additionally, eligible associates receive a quarterly incentive based on store performance.
The majority of associates will begin work in August to help prepare the store for its grand opening this September.
