The Very First “Ms. International Route 66” To Be Crowned At “California Dreamin” International Festival

(Victorville) – The San Bernardino County Fairgrounds is the home for this year’s Route 66 International Festival and the excitement has been building for several months.  The theme is “California Dreamin’ on Route 66” and it is expected to attract thousands of Route 66 enthusiasts, historians and fans from all over the world.  The festival kicks off  today and runs through Sunday.

There are plenty of events to enjoy during the festival days, including: a 5K Race, the Taste of 66 – Food Truck & Wine Festival and a Vintage Car Show. A full schedule of events and details is available at

Also included on the event schedule is the National Miss Route 66 Pageant – with a twist. This year will be the very first crowning of “Miss International Route 66.” This title is for Route 66 enthusiasts from foreign countries who would like to compete for an opportunity to take the crown home, as well as use the title to promote “car shows” and events that happen in their country to honor Route 66.

The pageant will take place on Saturday, August 11th at 10:00am with the “Baby Pixie” segment, followed by the “Junior Miss” segment at 1:00pm and ending with the “Mrs International” segment at 3:00pm. Crowning and awards will follow.
