(Victor Valley)–The Homeownership Protection Program Joint Powers Authority now has its own website, allowing those interested in the JPA’s activities to view live meetings, archived meeting videos, meeting agendas, minutes, and other information.
The site, www.homeownershipjpa.org, also allows users to sign up for e-mail alerts when new information is posted and to contact the JPA with comments.
The JPA is a partnership between the County of San Bernardino and the cities of Fontana and Ontario charged with examining local government solutions to the negative-equity crisis with the goal of keeping families in their homes, reducing defaults and foreclosures, and enhancing the economic health of JPA member communities.
At its meeting on Thursday, Aug. 16, the JPA Board unanimously directed staff to draft a Request for Proposals that, if approved by the Board at a future meeting, would invite anyone with a formal plan to assist underwater families in the JPA area to submit those plans for consideration by the JPA. Presently, the Board has not received nor is it considering any proposals.
The Board also established a regular meeting schedule – the fourth Thursday of October, January, April and July at 9 a.m. at the County Government Center in San Bernardino. Special meetings may still be called as necessary. Meeting notices will be posted on the JPA’s website. Those interested in meeting notices can subscribe to the website and receive e-mails when meetings are scheduled.
