(Victorville)- – Stein holding, log sawing and chicken dance activities can only mean one thing – its Oktoberfest time! Join the Rotary Club of the High Desert for the first annual Oktoberfest at Mojave Narrows Regional Park.
This first-of-a-kind event for the High Desert event will be hosted by the High Desert’s youngest Rotary club. Come enjoy home cooked authentic German food provided by Apple Valley’s Overland Meat Company, including Bratwurst, German potato pancakes with apple sauce, German potato salad and an authentic German dessert.
What Oktoberfest celebration would be complete without beer? There will be a cash bar at the event with authentic German and domestic beers available.
All proceeds will go towards charity. Funds from this event will be used directly for providing earthquake kits to local classrooms, and a portion of the proceeds will also go towards a broader Rotary International project to build a school for girls in India.
The Rotary Club of the High Desert’s first annual Oktoberfest happens Saturday, Oct. 13th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Mojave Narrows Regional Park. Tickets can be purchased by going to www.HDrotary.com or contacting 760-508-2679 or Rotary2006@hotmail.com.
