(FORT IRWIN)- — The National Training Center and Fort Irwin military installation is scheduled to host a job fair Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, which will have the opportunity to meet with potential employers. Attendees are recommended to dress accordingly for interview and networking opportunities, and are encouraged to bring several copies of resumes.
Some of the employers scheduled to attend include: Army & Air Force Exchange Service, Silver Valley Unified School District, Northrop Grumman, Transportation Security Administration, SC Field Technical Services, Inc., Goodwill Industries of Southern California, Coca-Cola Refreshments, Barstow Community Hospital, PALAU Corporation, Airstreams Renewables, Aerotek, Schneider National, Inc., County of San Bernardino WDD, Chick-fil-A, Inc., California Highway Patrol, USA MEDDAC/Weed Army Community Hospital, Tapestry Solutions, DeCA-Fort Irwin Commissary, Hyundai Motor America, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and more.
The Fort Irwin Job Fair is held semi-annually to assist transitioning Soldiers, Veterans and the general community to search for their next job or embark on a new career. Each fair is a great opportunity for employers to discover the vast talents and skills of job seekers in our population.
The event takes place at Sandy Basin Community Center on the installation. Visitors to Fort Irwin must possess government-issued identification, and if driving, provide vehicle registration and insurance paperwork to the visitor center.
