High Desert Daily
(Hesperia)– This Saturday, fitness in the High Desert has a new name, and it’s Kokomo Fitness. Yet, this isn’t your conventional grand opening: this is a day filled with free group classes, a trip to the market, and a night filled with pro wrestlers. Yes, I said a trip to the market and pro wrestling.
The High Desert has quite a few gyms across the various cities, so what does Kokomo have that the others don’t? Kokomo’s Dustin Bogle took a moment to tell us the difference between his gym and all the rest. “Kokomo Fitness is unlike most gyms in the High Desert because we care about our customers. We provide one on one training and group training to all members for under $6 a session. Most fitness clubs sign up members under a multiple year contract then leave them to fend for themselves on how to exercise effectively. We are here to get people results and our personal training studio specializes in helping our clients burn off belly fat while naturally boosting energy levels. Our trainers are certified in Cardio Kickboxing, Circuit Training, Yoga, Pilates, CrossFit and Weight Training.”
The grand opening takes place this Saturday and is literally an all day event. From free group sessions, a health fair and even a trip to the nearby Fresh and Easy Market, Bogle filled us in on why this is a grand opening that should not be missed. “Our grand opening event is exciting for residents of the High Desert because they get to experience being a member of our studio for a day, free of charge. Free group workout sessions will take place at 10am, 2pm and 4pm. A shopping tour will take place at noon at the Fresh and Easy Market. We will walk through the aisles and teach shoppers how to read labels, ingredients to watch out for, inform them about organic versus non-organic foods and answer questions they may have about food products. A health and fitness fair will be taking place between 2pm and 5pm and will feature The Vitamin Shoppe, Sanzone Organic Farms, All Occasion Sugar-Free Cake Pops and more.”
But wait, the day doesn’t end there. “Lastly, the day will come to a close with an exciting wrestling show that will begin at 6pm and feature wrestling sensations The Young Bucks, WWE superstar Aaron Aguilara, and the High Desert’s own wrestling celebrity Blake Grayson.” The Young Bucks have traveled the world as they compete in the squared circle, even appearing on television on Spike TV’s Impact Wrestling.
As for Blake Grayson, real name Blake Butler, the Victorville native is especially excited to be wrestling in the High Desert. Part of Alpha Omega Wrestling, Butler has wrestled in numerous states, but this is his first time in the High Desert as a part of AOW. High Desert Daily caught up with Butler on how it feels to be performing in Hesperia this Saturday: “It feels like home. My second home because my first home is in the ring.”
