Victorville Motors Program Helps Students Stay In Class And Qualify To Win A Car

By Staff Reports

(Victor Valley)–The “It’s a Gas” program, started by Victorville Motors in 2011, is starting its second season of encouraging students to attend classes. By giving students incentives for perfect attendance, such as gift cards, iPads, Laptops or a new car, they saw 963 students last year attain perfect attendance. Their goals this year include raising: overall attendance levels, additional funds, campus excitement, student/parent/school interaction and the positive atmosphere within HD local high schools.

Feedback from parents, students, teachers, principals, superintendents, business owners and the community all point to It’s a Gas having a dramatic and positive effect on school attendance. 2011-2012 school year saw a significant increase in incremental funds for our school districts and the number of students attending class.

This second season of It’s a Gas includes tremendous growth: more schools, more students, more funds raised, more business participation, more incentives, and of course, more cars being given away…It’s a Gas will be giving away TWO NEW 2013 Dodge Darts! For more information to become involved
