(Apple Valley)– AV Ranchos Fall Conservation Workshop recently took place at the Aspen Lodge for the Sun City Community residents in Apple Valley.

The well- attended event featured two presenters that interacted with the public as well as educated on conservation techniques.

John Crossley from Toro & Irritrol spoke about smart irrigation and Nina Colasurdo from Dig.

An Apple Valley Ranchos Water Team from Customer Service, Meter Reading, Safety, and Conservation was also present.

The Fall Conservation workshop was a great opportunity to educate the residents on irrigation materials that fit best with irrigating wisely, How to read a meter, Safety preparedness, and an opportunity to ask questions to our customer service representatives.

Drought tolerant plants were donated from Firemen’s Wholesale Nursery and were raffled to the attendees.

“I’m proud to say positive feedback was given to us at the end of the workshop and I will be coordinating future workshops for the rest of the Apple Valley residents,” said Norma Armenta, AV Ranchos conservation specialist
