Holiday Boat Parade Returns To Lake Gregory

(Victor Valley)–The 3rd annual Home for the Holidays boat parade at Lake Gregory will have participants showing off their holiday spirit in elaborately decorated row boat “floats.”

The event kicks off at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, November 24, with two hours for the captain and deck hands to decorate their boats. Spectator viewing and voting begins at 3:30 p.m., and participants show off their floats in the parade at 4:30 p.m.  Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place as well as a “People’s Choice” winner, voted on by the community.

Winners will be announced shortly after the start of the parade and the event will wrap-up by 5 p.m. so parade participants and spectators can also take part in the community tree lighting ceremony.

Teams will be supplied a park row boat, a trolling motor, marine batteries, and plug-ins for decorations. Registration is $25 for each five-person team and the deadline to enter is November 16.
