(Apple Valley)–An estimated 55 community leaders recently attended the Mockingbird Booster Pump Station ribbon cutting ceremony which was hosted by Apple Valley Ranchos Water Company.
The event also included elected officials and water leaders such as Scott Nassif, Doug Shumway, Sid Holquist, Art Bishop and Kirby Brill among many others.
AV Ranchos GM Scott Weldy was the emcee of the event in which he also thanked the project’s key players, introduced VIP’s and spoke about the importance of the Mockingbird Booster Pump Station.
Rick Dalton, of parent company Park Water, spoke about the project engineering attributes and the importance of more projects like this one to increase infrastructure to water users while Kirby Brill, MWA general manager, spoke about the regional significance of the project.
Apple Valley Councilman Scott Nassif spoke on the projects value to the Town and users.
Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce Director Janice Moore orchestrated the ribbon cutting and then there was a tour of the facility for all attendants.
Apple Valley Ranchos is an investor owned water utility, regulated by the California Public Utilities Commission. The company serves approximately 20,000 service connections in the town of Apple Valley and parts of San Bernardino County. AV Ranchos serves an estimated population of around 65,000.
