(Victor Valley)– – First 5 San Bernardino’s State of First 5 Address is scheduled for Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 9:30am-11:30am at Cal State San Bernardino University- Santos Manuel Student Union Center. This year’s theme is “Making A Difference”. “As agents of change, we have made great progress over the years in child development outcomes and agency capacity building in the county,” states Executive Director of First 5 San Bernardino, Karen Scott. “Seeing how First 5 has been ‘making a difference’ will shape the perception and understanding of our investment strategies that impact our children’s most impressionable life stages.”
Guest speaker, Kris Perry, will emphasize the value of investing in the early childhood sector, drawing from her experience as an innovator in early childhood education and as a Former First 5 California Executive Director. Perry joins the event as she embarks on her highly anticipated future with First Five Years Fund, a national advocacy organization for early childhood development.
