(Victor Valley)–At one time or another every High Desert resident has experienced the congestion at the 1-15 and Devore Interchange. Currently the Interchange experiences 1,200 daily vehicle hours of delay at an annual cost of $3.75 million. Without the upcoming improvement project, these numbers would increase by the year 2040 to 25,000 daily vehicle hours of delay at an annual cost of more than $80 million.
The Chamber will be hosting representatives from CalTrans, SANBAG and Atkinson/URS Construction Management Team for the Devore Interchange Project at the upcoming Economic Enhancement Forum. The Forum will be at 9:00 am on February 13 at the Victorville Conference Center located at 12603 Mariposa Rd. With this project’s construction scheduled through 2016, all aspects of the interchange development will be affecting High Desert business and residents long into the future. Join us and learn what you can expect in the upcoming years.
