(Victor Valley)–With the ever-widening divide in our country, it seems as if we need to revisit the dream of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., whose immortal words from his “March on Washington” speech on August 28, 1963 in Washington, D.C. still inspires us nearly half a century later.
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judge by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character,” Dr. King said. Shouldn’t that be a dream all of us embrace? Shouldn’t we also embrace the Lewis Center’s foundational pillars of courage, Generosity and Honor, and let those be the cry of our hearts individually as well as collectively as a Nation? Thank you, Dr. King, for inspiring our nation and the world. The Lewis Center pledges to continue working to make your dream come true!
