(Victor Valley)–Supervisor James Ramos has added a Field Representative to his staff for the Big Bear Valley communities. The Board of Supervisors approved the contract for Elizabeth “Liz” Harris at today’s Board meeting.
Harris, a longtime resident of Big Bear Lake, has served on the City Council for Big Bear Lake from 2000 to 2012. She served as Mayor from 2002 to 2004 and again in 2010. Her other involvements in the mountain community include serving as a Board member for both the Big Bear Area Wastewater Agency and the Mountain Area Regional Transit Authority Board.
Liz will work to bring awareness to issues facing the Big Bear Valley residents. She will be responsible for keeping the Supervisor informed of community needs and ongoing projects in the mountains.
“In choosing a field representative for the mountains, I wanted someone with knowledge of the issues facing these communities and someone who is dedicated to helping solve the needs of these residents. Liz is the right person to take on this task. She has been an active member in her community and has a strong understanding of the needs of its residents,” stated Supervisor Ramos.
