(Victor Valley)–The City of Victorville’s Economic Development Department Housing Division is excited to announce a new partnership with the non-profit organization Neighborhood Partnership Housing Services, Inc. (NPHS). The joint venture will allow for more residents to utilize the various housing programs currently available by the City of Victorville as well as reduce turn-around time for processing of applications.
The City of Victorville’s Economic Development Housing Division currently has over $2 Million in federal and state funds available to service the community in 2013. Eligible programs include the Mortgage Assistance Program, Owner Occupied Home Repair Program and Senior Home Repair Program. Current or prospective residents can contact NPHS directly at (909) 988-5979 or visit their website at www.nphs.info to see if they qualify for one of Victorville’s programs.
NPHS began its non-profit operations in 1991 and has expanded its services throughout Southern California. Just last year, the organization was successful in providing 800 families with foreclosure prevention counseling and prevented 300 foreclosures in Southern California.
Widely regarded as having one of the most successful and active Housing Divisions in the Inland Empire, Victorville housing programs have serviced the community since 1997 and directly assisted over 800 residents. The City of Victorville has provided over $3.2 Million in mortgage loans for low to moderate income families. Victorville has also dispersed over $2.3 Million in funding for necessary home repairs for veterans, homeowners with disabilities and seniors since 1997.
