(Victor Valley)–For anyone who has ever wanted to break into the rapidly growing field of healthcare, now is the time. Victor Valley College is holding a free orientation for fast-track, fee-based certification classes available now through its Skills360 workforce training program. The orientation will be held on Monday, February 11th from 6pm to 8pm upstairs in the Student Activities Center at the main campus.
Healthcare is one of the fastest growing sectors in San Bernardino County. New hospital construction, expanding medical specialties and an aging population together are creating a high demand for qualified healthcare professionals. Many opportuntiies require certifications that can be obtained in less than one semester.

The Skills360 Program Manager will make a presentation concerning labor market information and the job prospects surrounding these careers. The orientation will also answer questions about how Skills360 classes are different from VVC’s regular offerings, how to register for and finance these classes, and what to expect in classroom and clinical assignments.
This orientation is for anyone who wants to learn if a career in healthcare is right for them and exactly what steps are required to get started. It is a practical information session that could jump-start your new career. If you are a career changer, recently out of high school, have been displaced by the current economy, or just want to explore other options; then, you need to be at the orientation.
